Something Old Something New
Nothing Borrowed, Nothing Used
Translation—New cover for a book I wrote years ago, not that it’s old exactly. Nothing borrowed—no AI, though really AI is theft not borrowing. Nothing used—well, I could write that Ginny herself is unused as she’s a virgin, but the feminist in me would never actually write something like that. I don’t view virginity as a ‘gift’ that can be given to the right man, or see woman’s bodies as objects that can be spoiled, or dirtied by sex. I hate that attitude, especially the image of a father with a shotgun protecting his daughter’s virtue (vagina) as if he owns it. Ick.
It’s Ginny Cotton who has some uh, issues on the subject. She’s not particularly religious but the man she’s been in love for a long, long, time, is. This, along with a bad case of anxiety has the girl (she’s a woman actually, but for some reason girl sounds better here) a bit, er, confused.
The book is on the lighter side, with some humor, but does deal with some serious issues.
I spent a lot of time searching for the right pre-made cover. I think I found it.
I’ll be releasing this one in Fall 2026.
